Fees & Funding

Government funding

At Jack and Jill’s, we offer a Term Time only option with a minimum commitment of 30 hours per week. Alternatively, for parents without funding, we require a minimum of 20 hours per week, including either a Monday or Friday.

Fees at Jack and Jill’s are calculated based on the 50 weeks of the year we are open, divided into 12 equal monthly payments for convenience.

Government funding is designed for 38 weeks of term time, but since our nursery operates year-round, the funded hours are stretched across the full 50 weeks. For example, this means the standard funding equates to 11.24 hours per week when spread across our operational calendar, and the same applies to the 30-hour funding scheme.

Monthly payments also account for bank holidays, public holidays, and inset days, even if the nursery is closed on those days. This is because our staffing and operational costs remain consistent throughout the year…
