Absolutely love Jack and Jill’s Day nursery! Our daughter has been with them since she was 7 months old (she’s now 2) and has thrived there!
 
She loves all her nursery teachers and she gets very excited when it’s a nursery day. We get regular updates on my daughter’s progression, daily updates on what she’s done each day, what she’s eaten and her nappy changes, this definitely made returning to work a lot easier knowing she was doing okay each day! She often refuses to leave at pick-up as she’s having so much fun!

Great nursery, the staff are so lovely, friendly, and trustworthy. They take your preferences into consideration and help with any issues that may arise. They help with potty training. Also, every room has access to a big garden with lots of toys to play with. I cannot recommend it more!

Since the day my son started settling into Jack and Jill’s, he has always loved it! He enjoys nursery so much that even on his days off, he asks when he will be seeing his friends and lovely teachers next. He is always greeted by a friendly member of staff every morning, a member of staff in Sunbeams 
is such a fantastic key worker, along with all the other staff members, she is so enthusiastic, caring, and kind. I never have any concerns about the standard of care my son receives and can always trust he is being well looked after, as well as being supported with his developmental milestones. They have been fantastic at supporting my son with potty training, and he even eats better at nursery than he does at home!

We have probably viewed most nurseries in Hemel (even viewed some in Berkhamsted) and we chose Jack and Jill’s. We live on the other side of Hemel and have to detour every morning, before our commute, to take our child to the nursery as we want the best for our daughter. Our child has been attending the nursery for 9 months and has developed so much. All the nursery staff have a nurturing way of caring for the children, my daughter loves the staff so much she calls their name all weekend. I feel so much better about leaving my daughter there when I go to work, as I know she is enjoying herself. They do lots of fun activities, and we get updates daily and pictures. Very happy with the nursery.

Let us know the preferred start date for your child and which days you would like them to attend nursery. We will do our best to accommodate your preferences.

What Age Is Nursery?

Children can join Jack and Jill’s Nursery from as young as 3 months old up to 5 years old. Our preschool education typically begins at age 3 and continues until they move onto primary school at 4 or 5 years old.

Day nurseries provide a safe and structured environment where children can develop social, cognitive and emotional skills through play and learning activities. They also offer reliable childcare for working parents, with trained staff supporting early education.

Yes, you are welcome to call the nursery school at any time if you have any concerns or important questions. As the best nursery in Hemel Hempstead, our staff are always happy to provide information whilst caring for the children.

We offer half days from 8am-1pm or 1pm-6pm, and full day sessions between 8am-6pm. There is also an early bird option if you wish to drop your child off at 7.30am.

Yes, it is possible to pick up your child early if necessary. Please just let us know in advance so that we can ensure they are ready for collection. It is important to note that you may still be required to pay for the full session booked.

At Jack and Jill’s Day Nursery, full-day sessions (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) cost £1,750 for five days a week, with lower rates for fewer days (£700 for two days, £1,050 for three and £1,400 for four). Government funding is available too. You can learn more here.
